Supporting student success takes an entire community. The community of Chilliwack offers many resources that support children, youth, and families. From parenting programs and youth services to mental health and community outreach, these resources are here to help you navigate school life and beyond.
Family Support & Parenting Resources
Chilliwack Community Services – Early Years & Family Support Programs - Includes Family Place drop-in centers (birth to age 6), parenting workshops, Family Navigator, and support programs like Right From the Start.
Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) - Developmental services for children up to age 18, including therapy, consultations, and referrals. Support for families with extra support needs.
Interagency Coordination & Planning
Chilliwack Child & Youth Committee (CYC) - A coalition of agencies advancing collaboration, hosting annual resource guides and supporting initiatives like Every Door Is the Right Door.
Youth, School-Age Support & After-School Programs
Chilliwack Youth Health Centre - Free and confidential health services for youth ages 12–26: counselling, medical care, life planning, and referrals.
Afternoon Adventures - Free after-school programs for grades 2–5 and middle schoolers (grades 6–8), offering snacks, crafts, peer support, and life-skill workshops in a safe environment.
Youth Services by Chilliwack Community Services - Includes Beyond the Bell recreational programs, outreach, youth housing support, and parenting/youth life skill support.
Big Brothers Big Sisters (Upper Fraser Valley) - In-school and community mentoring programs for children aged 7–12.
Food Security Programs
Salvation Army Community Food Bank - They provide food hampers, baby supplies, and other household items.
The Free Store Chilliwack - This organization provides food hampers and other community support to vulnerable families.
Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society -This organization provides meal kits, recipes, and virtual cooking demonstrations to families with school-aged children. They also offer delivery services.
Chilliwack Community Cupboard - This organization provides food, clothing, and other household items to Chilliwack families with children under 19.
Meadow Rose Society -This organization provides baby supplies for children 3 and under, with 2 visits per month.

Mental Health Support
Family Smart (Parent-Led Groups)
Biweekly parent groups supporting families navigating child/youth mental health issues like anxiety, school refusal or self-care strategies.Here to Help - find the information you need to manage mental health and substance use problems, and learn how you can support a loved one.
Educational & Recreational Resources
Fraser Valley Regional Library (FVRL) - Libraries in Chilliwack offer storytimes, family literacy programs, homework help, and teen workshops. Children’s programs vary by branch.
Chilliwack Museum - Offers educational programming for school groups, museum tours, and local history workshops.
Grief Support
Chilliwack Hospice Society – Grief support groups, family circles, peer support training, school outreach, and family camps for children and teens experiencing loss.
Clubs, Sports & Youth Organizations
Cheam Figure Skating Club - teaches learn to skate, power skate and figure skating programs.
Cheam Leisure Centre - A multi-purpose facility with courts for tennis, basketball, and other sports, as well as spaces for events.
Chilliwack Basketball Association - A year-round organization providing basketball programs for various age groups.
Chilliwack Chiefs Hockey Academy - Offers summer camps and training for hockey players, often featuring Chilliwack Chiefs
Chilliwack Grapplers Wrestling - Offers Olympic-style wrestling training and competition for local youth in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Girl Guides - Fun while getting involved with the community and gaining new skills and experiences.
Chilliwack Gymnastics Club - Offers fun, inclusive gymnastics and dance programs for all ages.
Jr. Jets Skills Academy - Focuses on skill development for young hockey players, led by the Chilliwack Jets Head Coach and players.
Landing Sports Centre - A multi-purpose facility with courts for tennis, basketball, and other sports, as well as spaces for events.
Sea Cadets – Youth programs focused on teamwork, and leadership for youth between the ages of 12 to 18.
Scouts - Programs focused on teamwork, creativity and leadership for youth.
Warriors Ice Sports Training Society (WISTS) - Provides ice sports training, including skating programs at the Chilliwack Coliseum and Sardis Sports Complex.
